AN ACT ELIMINATING A COURT'S AUTHORITY TO DEPART FROM THE MANDATORY MINIMUM SENTENCE FOR THE ILLEGAL MANUFACTURE, DISTRIBUTION, SALE, PRESCRIPTION OR ADMINISTRATION OF OPIOIDS. To repeal section 21a-283a of the general statutes, which permits a court, upon a showing of good cause by the defendant, to depart from the prescribed mandatory minimum sentence relating to the illegal manufacture, distribution, sale, prescription or administration of opioids.
