Tennessee Senate Bill
Oakland - Subject to local approval, establishes that the terms of office for mayor and alderman begin upon the official's swearing in on the first business day of the month following the month of the election for that office; designates five aldermanic positions, and allows for a sixth position, contingent on certain population metrics; provides for additional conditions for elected office. - Amends Chapter 167 of the Private Acts of 1994; as amended. Companion bill has been assigned Private Chapter Number 26 by the Secretary of State.
