Florida House Bill
Temporary Custody of Minor Children; Requires protective investigator to provide certain information and, if necessary, guidance to relatives of child contacted during protective investigation; authorizes grandparent to petition for temporary or concurrent custody of his or her grandchild; including statement of specific acts or omissions of child's parents which demonstrate certain use of controlled substance or alcohol in statements that may be contained in petition for temporary or concurrent custody; defines "controlled substance"; requires court to grant petition if it is in best interests of child to grant custody & there is substantial threat of harm if custody is not granted; provides that certain evidence is sufficient for court to make such finding.
