Insurance; Creates Property Insurance Commission; provides powers & duties of commission & election of Commissioner of Insurance Regulation; prohibits commissioner from engaging in certain activities or employment after leaving office; requires interest earned on insurance proceeds be paid to insureds; specifies condition on insurance activities engaged in within this state by person who engages in property insurance activities in another state; prohibits property insurers from using certain defenses for denial of claims; requires DFS to adopt rules regarding its handling of allegations of insurance fraud made by insurers or their employees or contractors; specifies appropriations for My Safe Florida Home Program.
