COPY below message to your legislators: Please support HB2258 - Give Virginia Breweries Limited Self-Distribution! HB2258 establishes the Virginia Beer Distribution Company (VBDC) that allows participating breweries to "self-distribute" up to 500 barrels of beer per year through the the Virginia Beer Distribution Company (part of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services) POS system. The benefits of the VBDC are: -all breweries may "self-distribute" 500 barrels per year through the VBDC service. -participating breweries will pay licensing fees, transaction fees, and generate new state tax revenue to support the VBDC start-up and operation. -it already exists for the Virginia wine industry - the Virginia Wine Distribution Company. -it is the result of a legislative study conducted by VDACS (HB1336 - 2021). -it will increase access to markets, consumer choices, and improve Virginia's craft beer industry's competitiveness. Support HB2258 and help "BILD" Virginia's craft beer industry!

Small craft breweries shouldn't be subject to 3tier which is clearly a AB-Inbev lobby. Self Distribution would allow small craft breweries to not have to rely on a company that takes minimum 30% off the top.
