Law Enforcement Training Academy - As introduced, states that the peace officer standards and training commission must issue a certificate of compliance to a person appointed as a special deputy if the person meets the qualifications for employment as a police officer and satisfactorily completes an approved recruit training program; states that in order to retain the certification, the special deputy must successfully complete an annual in-service training session appropriate for the special deputy's responsibilities. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 8; Title 38 and Title 49.
