A BILL TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY ADDING SECTION 44-6-120 SO AS TO REQUIRE THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES TO CONDUCT AN ANNUAL REVIEW OF MEDICATIONS AND TREATMENTS FOR CHRONIC AND RARE KIDNEY DISEASES FOR ENROLLEES IN THE SOUTH CAROLINA MEDICAID PROGRAM IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE ADEQUACY OF THE AVAILABLE TREATMENTS AND TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING POTENTIAL NEW TREATMENTS; TO REQUIRE THE DEPARTMENT TO PUBLISH AN ANNUAL REPORT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
