A BILL TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY ADDING SECTION 44-7-375 SO AS TO REQUIRE HOSPITALS TO REPORT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AND THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH IF THEY HAVE PROVIDED TREATMENT OR SERVICES TO A PATIENT WHO HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH ANY INFECTION CAUSED BY NAEGLERIA FOWLERI.
