A BILL TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY AMENDING SECTION 23-3-540, RELATING TO ELECTRONIC MONITORING; REPORTING DAMAGE TO OR REMOVING MONITORING DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED PENALTIES, SO AS TO DELETE THE PROVISION PROHIBITING PERSONS REQUIRED TO REGISTER AS SEX OFFENDERS FOR COMMITTING CRIMINAL SEXUAL CONDUCT WITH A MINOR IN THE FIRST OR THIRD DEGREE FROM PETITIONING THE COURT TO BE RELEASED FROM THE ELECTRONIC MONITORING REQUIREMENT.
