I support this bill as long as it is intelligently applied. Currently, there is little to no sex offender treatment for incarcerated offenders, and often the "treatment programs" for those who get out consist of very low-level workbooks and not a lot of one-on-one time with a qualified therapist. A therapist's qualifications need to be spelled out more clearly, and there need to be treatment objectives that are time delineated. For too many, it seems that treatment goes on indefinitely - and not because of anything other than the financial considerations of the treating agency.
