This looks like a power grab by the Republicans, taking away some of the key checks and balances at the State level. It may be un-Constitutional as well. Between the gerrymandering of districts, and now controlling the election process the GOP doesn't appear to care about fairness or even governing, just winning the game and dictating outcomes. Between this manipulation of the voting process and the passage of HB 488 (Building Codes) it's pretty obvious the current majority legislators do not care about the future of this State - and continue to support corporations, the wealthy, and the powerful at the expense of the majority of the population. Another step in the evolution of Autocracy, not Democracy. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
