Cash is a necessary resource, especially if you live in poverty. It is quite possible that having cash helps get a person out of poverty since they can get and do things not possible with TANF card only. They could start their own business, save for emergencies etc. I’m sure certain lobbyists don’t want cash payments because of the lack of control. Please do not support this bill when it comes up for a vote.
