Prohibiting courts from assigning a defendant to work release if the defendant has any prior conviction or adjudication of a crime that requires registration as a sex offender and prohibiting the secretary of corrections from granting an inmate leave from confinement for work release or educational release programs if the inmate has any prior conviction or adjudication of a crime that requires registration as a sex offender.
