I support this bill. The State of Georgia has become a very popular state. As the population continues to grow so does crime. We must attract the best young men and women to serve on the front-lines to counter crime. In my opinion, retirement and insurance benefits are the biggest positive contributing factors to government hiring and retention of long term, highly trained, and experienced professionals. Absent these incentives, State Law Enforcement cannot compete with private sector jobs or other noncombat government agencies.
