Florida House Bill
Office of Insurance Regulation; Provides that OIR is responsible for all activities concerning entities under its jurisdiction; authorizes DFS & office to issue cease & desist orders for certain activity & provides for enforcement; grants office authority to examine administrators; provides requirements to OIR, FDLE, & FBI relating to fingerprinting & background checks of certain persons; specifies who bears costs of fingerprint processing; provides requirements for projection of private passenger automobile insurance; requires OIR to determine minimum rate differentials for certain windstorm damage mitigation techniques; revises requirements of rate filing with OIR for certain insurers; requires OIR to contract with state university to design, operate, upgrade, & maintain specified database; requires property insurers to file certain policyholder forms in database; provides & revises requirements & exemptions for certain reports & liquidity stress test; requires attorneys in fact of reciprocal insurers to obtain registration; provides requirements for application, renewal, suspension, & revocation of such registration; authorizes office to issue administrative fines in lieu of suspension or revocation.
