Florida House Bill
Department of Law Enforcement; Authorizes FDLE to adopt rules relating to Florida Medal of Valor & Florida Blue/Red Heart Medal programs; specifies that appointments & reappointments of members to Medical Examiners Commission are considered in force until certain conditions are met; requires commission to appoint district medical examiners for medical examiner districts; provides that physician members of commission are eligible to serve as district medical examiners upon approval by commission; requires Criminal Justice Professionalism Program to provide staff support to Criminal Justice Standards & Training Commission within department; requires commission to act independently of any criminal justice agency; provides manners of administrative complaint service by commission to law enforcement, correctional, & correctional probation officers; requires commission to establish online continued employment training components relating to diabetic emergencies, online initial training & continuing education courses relating to medical use of marijuana, continued employment training components relating to autism spectrum disorder, & online continued employment training components relating to Alzheimer's disease & related forms of dementia.
