AN ACT REQUIRING THE DEPARTMENT OF BANKING TO CONDUCT A STUDY RELATING TO SIGNATURE GUARANTEE PROGRAMS. To require the Department of Banking to (1) conduct a study to assess (A) the availability of signature guarantee programs at financial institutions in the state, and (B) any issues relating to the ability of consumers to access such programs in order to obtain a guarantee, and (2) submit a report concerning the results of such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to banking.
