AN ACT CONCERNING IN-GROUND SWIMMING POOL BARRIERS. To mitigate a safety risk associated with in-ground swimming pools, particularly as such risk pertains to children, by (1) requiring that owners of in-ground swimming pools that are not surrounded by a certain barrier install such a barrier, and (2) establishing that the provision of the State Building Code revised to October 1, 2022, concerning the installation of a certain powered safety cover or retractable cover as an exception to such barrier requirement shall have no effect and shall not be construed as such an exception.
