Support the pro-life tax credit!

If passed into law, the Pregnancy Resource Act would create a program that provides a 50% tax credit for all eligible donations to pregnancy centers in the state that support women in crisis and help children. This would be a huge step toward building a culture of life in the Palmetto State!

Donors who can benefit would be individuals as well as businesses. It is the role of the Church, rather than the state, and her members to care for the vulnerable. As St. Paul writes in his first letter to St. Timothy, “the church is not to be burdened, so that it will be able to help those who are truly widows” (5:16). This program would allow for the members of the Body of Christ to more freely support the women and girls who are in need of loving alternatives to abortion.

Urge the Senate Finance Committee to support S. 32 – The Pregnancy Resource Act – and build a pro-life culture in the Palmetto State!

On behalf of faithful Catholics in South Carolina, I ask you to support S. 32, the Pregnancy Resource Act, to empower citizens to aid mothers in crisis pregnancies and children in their local communities.

A network of pregnancy resource centers exists in our state to love and serve women, girls, their babies and their families. These organizations provide valuable resources to their clients such as free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, housing and financial support, parenting classes, emotional support and so much more. Pregnancy resources centers and other pro-life organizations are best equipped to provide women with loving alternatives to abortion. To be authentically pro-life, these groups stand with the women and girls in crisis pregnancies and their children and families. By supporting this tax credit, you give your constituents like me the freedom to support pregnancy centers more freely, allowing them to serve even more families.

The passage of the Pregnancy Resource Act will be a vital way to give families and businesses the power to invest in their local communities and into organizations that serve women and girls, helping them to choose life for their babies. This program would encourage support for the work of the organizations that make communities stronger.

I encourage you to vote YES on S. 32, the Pregnancy Resource Act, to empower South Carolinians to support local pregnancy centers and other pro-life organizations that build up a pro-life, pro-family culture in the Palmetto State.
