We are halfway there! Thanks to your advocacy, SB324 passed UNANIMOUSLY out of the Senate before Crossover Day and passed UNANIMOUSLY out of committee today! Now we need to urge the Rules Chair to approve it and send it to the House floor for a full vote. Please contact your State Representative and the Rules Chair, Rep. Butch Parrish and ask them to support SB324 which would create a victim-centered address confidentiality program for survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking. By shielding their physical address, we can prevent future harm, reduce fear and isolation and ultimately save lives!

I am writing to ask for your support in getting SB324- A Victim-Centered Address Confidentiality Program to the House floor.  SB324 has strong bi-partisan support and passed unanimously out of the Senate.  It is being carried in the House by Rep. Houston Gaines and passed unanimously out of the Governmental Affairs Committee.  Not being able to protect the confidentiality of a new residency is often a barrier for survivors when they choose to relocate to protect themselves and their families.  Victims of trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking who move to a new residence, can shield their new address from public record allowing them to move forward in their lives safely.  By passing SB324, GA would be joining the ranks of 42 other states that have already passed or expanded their address confidentiality programs.  By keeping a victim's address private, address confidentiality programs have been shown to prevent future harm, reduce fear and isolation and ultimately save lives.  I appreciate your support.
