Essential Grocery Workers Urge Support for Senate Bill 725 (Smallwood-Cuevas) – Grocery Worker Displacement Allowance
We need essential grocery workers to let their elected officials know how important it is to vote YES on Senate Bill 725 by Senator Lola Smallwood-Cuevas to protect workers in the case of a merger or acquisition in the grocery industry. Senate Bill 725 will provide grocery workers who are laid off as a result of a merger or acquisition in the grocery industry with a grocery worker displacement allowance of one week for every year of service.
