Let Voters Fund School Construction!

The General Assembly returns to Richmond soon to pass the state budget and we are advocating for them to include budget language allowing local voters to approve a local 1% sales tax for school construction.

Your letters are going to the senators and delegates who are appointed as budget conferees. This conference committee of senior legislators will make all final decisions on what is included in the final budget to be voted upon by all 140 members. These decisions impact all Virginians so give this message a forward to friends and family too!

Very Important! Personal stories make a real difference. Please take a moment to add a personal message to legislators, sharing how the underfunding of school facilities has affected your school, classroom, child, or colleague.

There is widespread support to let voters approve this kind of locally-driven funding to support safe and modern learning environments. Your voice can help turn that momentum into action and we hope you will send them a quick email today.
