Support Youth Homelessness Funding

Youth Homelessness is a critical issue that impacts communities across Washington State. Programs like the Homeless Prevention and Diversion Fund (HPDF), Homeless Student Stability Program (HSSP), and Protected Health Care Grants have been pivotal in reducing youth housing instability by nearly 40%. These investments offer essential, life-change support, helping young people avoid the cycle of chronic homelessness and build stable, independent futures.

However, the need remains urgent. Without sustained funding, vulnerable youth will lose access to the critical resources they need. Research shows that early intervention and comprehensive services are the most effective in preventing long-term homelessness. Reducing or cutting funding would not only reverse the progress we've made while also costing the state more money in the long run.

By maintaining and expanding funding for these essential programs, Washington can continue to create positive, lasting change for its young people. Investing in their futures is an investment in the strength and stability of our communities.
