UPDATE / ACTION ALERT Add member of NCPBA to NC Training and Standards Commission
Dear North Carolina PBA Members, we need all members to contact representatives of the Judiciary 2 Committee in support of House Bill 289 (Add Member to NC Training Standards Commission). This Committee is meeting on May 6th at 1300 for consideration and is an important milestone to move this Bill forward. The NCPBA is the largest law enforcement association in NC. It is well past time the NCPBA has a permanent appointment to the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission that governs the professional lives of our members.Our members have valuable input to give into the training, rules, and regulations guiding the law enforcement profession in our state. This duty should be placed more in the hands of the women and men on the streets daily doing the job. This NCPBA permanent appointment would be that opportunity.
