School board members-same day swearing in and serving.

A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to education; requiring school district
2 board trustees to be sworn in and begin their official
3 duties on the same day; and providing for an effective
4 date.

6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

8 Section 1. W.S. 21-3-106 is amended to read:
9
10 21-3-106. Oath of trustees.

12 The trustees of each school district shall, on or before
13 the first day of December after receiving notification of
14 their election or within ten (10) days after receiving
15 notification of their election or appointment and before

1 assuming the duties of their offices, appear before some
2 person qualified to administer oaths and take an oath for
3 the faithful performance of their duties as required by
4 law.

6 Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2023.
