A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to elections; amending the nomination
2 filing and petition deadline for minor party candidates,
3 provisional party candidates and independent candidates;
4 and providing for an effective date.

6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

8 Section 1. W.S. 22-4-304(c) and 22-5-307 are amended
9 to read:

11 22-4-304. Certification of candidates; fees.
12
13 (c) The names certified to the secretary of state or
14 the county clerk shall be filed no not later than the day

1 eighty-one (81) days before the major party primary
2 election held on the date specified in W.S. 22-2-104(b).

4 22-5-307. Time for filing independent petitions.

6 Petitions filed with the secretary of state and with the
7 county clerk shall be filed not less later than seventy
8 (70) days before a general eighty-one (81) days before the
9 major party primary election held on the date specified in
10 W.S. 22-2-104(b).

12 Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2023.
