Legislator constituent service allowance.

A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to the legislature; increasing the
2 quarterly legislator constituent service allowance; and
3 providing for an effective date.

5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

7 Section 1. W.S. 28-5-106(b)(iv) is amended to read:
8
9 28-5-106. Constituent service allowance.

11 (b) Each member of the legislature is entitled to
12 receive a constituent service allowance as provided under
13 this section. This allowance is intended to defray expenses
14 incurred by each member in providing service to and on
15 behalf of their constituents, which services are in
16 addition to attending sessions of the legislature,

1 attending meetings of interim committees and engaging in
2 authorized interim work for which salary, per diem and
3 mileage is authorized by law. The allowance is subject to
4 the following:

6 (iv) The allowance of seven hundred fifty
7 dollars ($750.00) one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per
8 calendar quarter or fractional portion thereof that the
9 member is in office shall be paid quarterly to all
10 incumbent legislators.

12 Section 2. This act is effective January 14, 2025.
