State assessment of independent power producers.

A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to ad valorem taxation; clarifying that the
2 state is responsible for the valuation and assessment of
3 property of independent power producers; and providing for
4 an effective date.

6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

8 Section 1. W.S. 39-13-102(m) by creating a new
9 paragraph (xi) is amended to read:
10
11 39-13-102. Administration; confidentiality.
12
13 (m) The department shall annually value and assess
14 the following property at its fair market value for
15 taxation:

1 (xi) Property of independent power producers
2 operating facilities for the generation or transmission of
3 electricity for wholesale.

5 Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2022.
