State employee longevity pay-prospective repeal.

A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to administration of the government;
2 eliminating longevity pay for state employees hired after
3 the effective date of this act; and providing for an
4 effective date.

6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

8 Section 1. W.S. 9-2-1022(c)(v) is amended to read:
9
10 9-2-1022. Duties of department performed through
11 human resources division.

13 (c) The state compensation plan shall provide for the
14 following procedures to establish and change individual pay
15 rates:

1 (v) Longevity pay increases shall be approved at
2 a rate of forty dollars ($40.00) per month for each five
3 (5) years of service for employees initially hired before
4 July 1, 2021. Longevity pay increases shall not be
5 considered as part of base pay. Longevity pay shall not be
6 paid to employees initially hired on or after July 1, 2021;

8 Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2021.
