1 AN ACT relating to: monitoring industrial sand mining and processing
2 operations and making an appropriation.

This bill authorizes eight full time equivalent positions to the Department of
Natural Resources for monitoring industrial sand mining and processing operations
and provides funding for those positions from the environmental fund.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
3 SECTION 1.0Fiscal changes.
4 (1) INDUSTRIAL SAND OPERATION MONITORING. In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3)
5 for the appropriation to the department of natural resources under s. 20.370 (4) (mq),
6 the dollar amount for fiscal year 2021-22 is increased by $900,000 to increase the
7 authorized FTE positions for the department by 8.0 SEG positions for monitoring
8 industrial sand mining and processing operations. In the schedule under s. 20.005
