7 Statement of purpose of bill as introduced: This bill proposes to allow holders
8 of a manufacturer’s or rectifier’s license to acquire a first-class license to sell
9 their products at a tasting room that is not located on property contiguous with
10 the manufacturing location.
11 An act relating to authorizing off-site tasting rooms for alcoholic beverage
12 manufacturers
13 It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
14 Sec. 1. 7 V.S.A. § 221 is amended to read:
15 § 221. FIRST-CLASS LICENSES
16 ***
17 (i) With the approval of the Board of Liquor and Lottery, the control
18 commissioners may grant a first-class license to the holder of a manufacturer
19 or rectifier’s license for a premises that is not contiguous with the

1 subdivision shall be used exclusively for the sale of alcoholic beverages
2 manufactured by the licensee for on-premises consumption.
3 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE
4 This act shall take effect on July 1, 2023.
