No. R-210. House concurrent resolution honoring Bellows Free Academy-St. Albans boys’ ice hockey Head Coach Toby Ducolon for his outstanding achievements.

Offered by: Representatives Dickinson of St. Albans Town, McCarthy of St. Albans City, and Toof of St. Albans Town Offered by: Senators Brock and Parent Whereas, as a BFA-St. Albans ice hockey player, Toby Ducolon was a key member of
the school’s 1982 and 1983 State championship teams, and, as a senior, he scored 38 goals and twice headed the Vermont All-State Team, and Whereas, his University of Vermont record at Gutterson Fieldhouse was equally stellar,
as he scored 46 goals and earned 39 assists during a collegiate career crowned by the team’s first NCAA post-season appearance, and Whereas, in 1984, Toby Ducolon was named to the U.S. Junior National Team, became the first Vermonter the NHL’s St. Louis Blues recruited, and proceeded to skate for two years on a Blues-affiliated team, and Whereas, in 1990, he began a 32-year reign as the Bobwhites’ superb head coach,
guiding his teams to 23 semifinal playoff games, 13 final appearances, nine State titles, and
450 contest victories, and Whereas, in 2020, Toby Ducolon was deservedly inducted into the Vermont Sports Hall of Fame, and Whereas, in 2022, Toby Ducolon is concluding his amazing coaching career, and his most important legacy has been creating a culture of consistency in behavior,
consequences, and decision-making as the fundamentals for the privilege of being a Bobwhite, now therefore be it Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:
That the General Assembly honors Bellows Free Academy-St. Albans boys’ ice hockey Head Coach Toby Ducolon for his outstanding career achievements, and be it further Resolved: That the Secretary of State be directed to send a copy of this resolution to
Toby Ducolon and to BFA-St. Albans.
