7 LONG TITLE
8 General Description:
9 This bill modifies provisions related to the tentative budget of a local district.
10 Highlighted Provisions:
11 This bill:
12 < requires a local district to make a tentative budget available to the public at least
13 seven days before adopting the budget:
14 C at the local district's principal office during regular business hours;
15 C on the Utah Public Notice Website; and
16 C on the local district's website, if the local district has a website; and
17 < makes technical changes.

26 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
27 Section 1. Section 17B-1-608 is amended to read:
28 17B-1-608. Tentative budget and data -- Public records.

29 (1) The tentative budget adopted by the board of trustees and all supporting schedules
30 and data are public records[, and are available for public inspection for a period of at least
31 seven days prior to the adoption of a final budget].
32 (2) At least seven days before adopting a final budget in a public meeting, the local
33 district shall:
34 (a) make the tentative budget available for public inspection at the local district's
35 principal place of business during regular business hours;
36 (b) if the local district has a website, publish the tentative budget on the local district's
37 website; and
38 (c) in accordance with Section 63A-16-601, do one of the following:
39 (i) publish the tentative budget on the Utah Public Notice Website; or
40 (ii) publish on the Utah Public Notice Website a link to a website on which the
41 tentative budget is published.
