By Sexton AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 37;
Title 39; Title 40; Chapter 264 of the Public Acts of
2023 and Chapter 363 of the Public Acts of 2023,
relative to juvenile justice.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 37-1-134, is amended by adding the following new subsection:
(m) The juvenile court records of a person who was transferred under this section and who is subsequently convicted and committed may be expunged only by a court order issued pursuant to § 40-32-101.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect October 1, 2023, the public welfare requiring it.
