                              SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 7045

                              A RESOLUTION to congratulate Ashlyn Glover of TCAT
                                           Morristown on her first-place finish at the 2023
                                           SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference.
       WHEREAS, it is fitting that we recognize those industrious, talented students of
Tennessee who bring pride and honor to our State; and WHEREAS, one such individual is Ashlyn Glover of Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Morristown, who participated in the 2023 SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference in Chattanooga on April 16-19, 2023, and took home a gold medal in the Additive Manufacturing Computer Aided Design Technology competition; and WHEREAS, SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit partnership of students, instructors, and more than 650 corporations, trade associations, businesses, and labor unions that works to
ensure that America has the skilled workforce it needs to stay competitive; founded in 1965 and endorsed by the United States Department of Education, the association serves more than
400,000 students and instructors each year in middle schools, high schools, and colleges,
focusing on 130 trade, technical, and skilled-service occupations; and WHEREAS, as a gold medal recipient, Ms. Glover advanced to the National SkillsUSA
Championship in Atlanta, Georgia, where she competed against the best in the nation; and WHEREAS, Ashlyn Glover's display of aptitude and ambition surely bodes well for her future success, and her dedication to excellence is clearly deserving of our respect, admiration,
and commendation; now, therefore,
       BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we commend and congratulate Ashlyn Glover of
