A RESOLUTION to commend Julia Law for exemplary service as
an intern for the University of Tennessee Office of Government Relations and Advocacy.
WHEREAS, each legislative session, this General Assembly is pleased to recognize certain persons who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment of the legislative process; and WHEREAS, Julia Law is one such individual who has distinguished herself in her role as
an intern for the University of Tennessee Office of Government Relations and Advocacy; Ms.
Law's work has resulted in innumerable benefits for those she assisted and the General Assembly as a whole; and WHEREAS, the daughter of Stewart and Tammy Law, Ms. Law is from Atoka but calls Memphis her home; and WHEREAS, a student at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she is highly regarded by her peers, Julia Law has achieved academic success while pursuing a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in International Studies and participating in
numerous extracurricular activities; and WHEREAS, during her collegiate career, Ms. Law has served as a member of the Alpha Delta Phi Sorority, Model United Nations, and National Honor Society of Leadership Success;
she has also served in West Africa, working with children and helping provide services for local villages; and WHEREAS, eager to familiarize herself with the characteristics and complexities of
Tennessee State government and to further her studies, Julia Law brought her many abilities and singular expertise to Capitol Hill for the 2023 session of the One Hundred Thirteenth General Assembly; and HJR0554

WHEREAS, throughout the 2023 legislative session, Ms. Law has surpassed all criteria that define a devoted and conscientious intern; and WHEREAS, Julia Law has performed her many duties with extraordinary insight and rare decorum; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
THIRTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
CONCURRING, that we hereby commend Julia Law for outstanding service as an intern for the University of Tennessee Office of Government Relations and Advocacy and extend to her our best wishes for every future success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
