statutory revisions required for implementation of the annual appropriations act.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 8-25-303(a), is amended by inserting the following as a new, appropriately designated subdivision:
( ) Notwithstanding subdivision (a)(1) or another law to the contrary, for the fiscal year beginning on July 1, 2023, the state employer match equals two hundred percent
(200%) of the amount contributed by each state employee to the plan per month, up to a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100) per month. In subsequent fiscal years, the employer match reverts to the calculation described in subdivision (a)(1).
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
