By Bulso AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 20,
Chapter 12; Title 25 and Title 27, relative to the recovery of costs on appeal.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 20, Chapter 12, is amended by adding the following as a new section:
20-12-145. Recoverable Costs on Appeal Recoverable costs on appeal include, but are not limited to, the cost of preparing and transmitting the record; the cost of a transcript of the evidence or proceedings; the cost of producing necessary copies of briefs and the record; premiums paid for bonds to
preserve rights pending appeal and costs incurred to obtain such bonds, including the cost of letters of credit or other costs incurred to provide security for such bonds pending appeal; litigation taxes; and any other fees of the appellate court or clerk.
SECTION 2. The headings in this act are for reference purposes only and do not constitute a part of the law enacted by this act. However, the Tennessee Code Commission is
requested to include the headings in any compilation or publication containing this act.
SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
