                                      SENATE BILL 105
                                         By Campbell AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2,
                                          Chapter 20, Part 1, relative to precinct-based optical scanners.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
       SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 2-20-101(a), is amended by
designating the existing language as subdivision (a)(1) and adding the following as a new subdivision:
               (2) On and after July 1, 2021, a county election commission that purchases or
       leases voting machines shall purchase or lease precinct-based optical scanners.
       SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
