                                         HOUSE BILL 95
                                            By Reedy AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2,
                                            Chapter 20, Part 1, relative to precinct-based optical scanners.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
       SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 2-20-101, is amended by deleting subsection (a) and substituting instead the following:
               (a) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, and no later than January 1, 2022,
       each county election commission shall utilize precinct-based optical scanners.
       SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
