This bill introduces a new section to South Dakota law that prohibits contractors involved in motor vehicle repair, auto body repair, or collision repair from offering or providing any form of payment or rebate for insurance deductibles. Specifically, contractors are not allowed to advertise, promise, or offer any coupons, credits, or rebates that would cover all or part of an applicable insurance deductible.

Additionally, if a contractor violates this provision, any contract made with the individual to whom the offer was made, or for whom the payment was intended, will be rendered null and void. The term "contractor" is defined within the bill to include garages, repair shops, and body shops.
