A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Honoring and Commending Stevi Fallis for earning her 1,000th point and the Red Cloud High School girls basketball team for their exceptional athleticism throughout the 2021-2022 basketball season.
WHEREAS, Stevi Fallis led her team to the Lakota Nation Invitational girls championship game where they went into a nail-biting overtime, eventually winning 72-65. She earned her 1,000th point that game and was dubbed the MVP for the championship game; and
WHEREAS, the Red Cloud Crusaders varsity girls basketball team is coached by Matt Rama. They have had a successful season with an overall record of 19-2. The team has dominated their 2022 playoff competition with a win against Todd Country, qualifying them for the South Dakota Sweet Sixteen; and
WHEREAS, Fallis is supported by her fellow teammates Allison Richards, Jordan Derby, Raina Ghost Bear, Cheree Ferguson, Sharissa Haas, Justina Pourier, Maikole Carlow, Jade Ecoffey, Rhionna Brewer, Jalen Derby, Anjah Lamont, Essence Tobacco, Abigail Haas, and Ashlan Blount:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Ninety-Seventh Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that Stevi Falls and the Red Cloud High School girls varsity basketball team be honored and commemorated for their incredible athletic accomplishments and their superior teamwork throughout the 2021-22 basketball season.
