A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION, Establishing the period of day-to-day adjournment of the House of Representatives within the Special Session on the Impeachment of Jason Ravnsborg.
WHEREAS, S.D. Const., Art. III,   16, permits either house to adjourn for more than three days only with the consent of the other house; and
WHEREAS, once the House of Representatives has organized, adopted rules, and conducted any immediate business in the Special Session on the Impeachment of Jason Ravnsborg, the House is unlikely to need to conduct further business within the scope of this special session until the select committee's investigation is complete:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the House of Representatives of the Legislature of the State of South Dakota, convened for the Special Session on the Impeachment of Jason Ravnsborg, the Senate concurring therein, that the House shall adjourn day-to-day under this special session until fourteen days after the chief clerk of the House of Representatives receives a report of the select committee, on which day the House shall reconvene under this special session to conduct business within the scope of the special session; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon reconvening in response to the report of the select committee, should the House of Representatives approve articles of impeachment, the House shall adjourn day-to-day until reconvening on the day the Senate begins the trial of the impeachment.
