The resolution proclaims May of 2023 as "Jewish American Heritage Month" in the State of Rhode Island. It recognizes the significant contributions of Jewish immigrants to the United States and their role in the country's creation, growth, freedom, prosperity, and strength. The resolution also condemns and seeks to combat antisemitism and calls for the inclusion of Jewish Americans in all facets of civic life. It further acknowledges the contributions of the Jewish community to the vibrancy and diverse heritage of the City of Providence and calls upon citizens to appropriately celebrate the history, heritage, and culture of the Jewish community. The Secretary of State is authorized and directed to transmit copies of the resolution to various Jewish organizations in Rhode Island.
