This bill creates the Renewable Ready Program, which promotes the development of renewable energy on previously contaminated sites. The program establishes criteria for identifying eligible sites and creates the Renewable Ready Fund at the infrastructure bank to provide financial assistance for renewable energy projects on these sites. The bill also requires the office, in coordination with the department, to prepare a list of eligible locations and their contact information, as well as estimates of renewable energy production capacity and utility interconnection costs.

The Renewable Ready Fund will be funded through appropriations, federal programs, private contributions, loan repayments, and other sources. The infrastructure bank will review and approve applications for financial assistance, subject to the availability of funds. The bill also grants the infrastructure bank the authority to adopt rules and regulations to implement the program.
