MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY CERTAIN CLAIMS

1 RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not
2 otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2021-2022 the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the
3 following:
4 Representative Joseph McNamara
5 The sum of $348.00 to pay the claim of Thomas Daniels of 87 Adams Street,
6 Warwick, RI, 02888, for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while traveling
7 east on Plainfield Street under the 295 overpass near Simmons Avenue in the town of Johnston on
8 or about April 11, 2020.
9 Representative Arthur J. Corvese
10 The sum of $1,191.82 to pay the claim of Maria Carlucci of 10 Sorrell Road, North
11 Providence, RI, 02904, for damages to her vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while
12 traveling on Smith Street at or near River Avenue in the city of Providence on or about June 10,
13 2020.
14 Representative K. Joseph Shekarchi
15 The sum of $669.07 to pay the claim of Matthew Giarrusso of 149 Janice Road
16 Warwick, RI, 02886, for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while traveling
17 North on route 10 in the city of Providence on or about March 3, 2020.
18 Representative Jason Knight
19 The sum of $425.40 to pay the claim of Paul Silva of 2 County Road, Barrington, RI,
20 02806, for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while traveling in Colt State
 1 Park in the town of Bristol on or about August 18, 2019.
2 Representative William W. O’Brien
3 The sum of $473.74 to pay the claim of David Rotondo of 11 Allison Avenue, North
4 Providence, RI, 02911, for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while traveling
5 south on 95 at or near the Dunkin Donuts Center in the city of Providence on or about March 4,
6 2021.
7 Representative Alex D. Marszalkowski
8 The sum of $2,020.00 to pay the claim of Richard L. Papineau of 22 Broadview
9 Avenue, Cumberland, RI, 02864, for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by snow being
10 plowed by a Rhode Island Department of Transportation snow plow while traveling south on
11 route 95 on or about December 17, 2020; and the state controller is hereby authorized and
12 directed to draw his orders upon the General Treasurer for the payment of said funds.
