MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY CERTAIN CLAIMS

1 RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not
2 otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2021-2022 the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the
3 following:
4 Senator Tiara T. Mack
5 The sum of $1,135.62 to pay the claim of Jonathan Kaufman of Fire and Water
6 Concessions of 129 Weybosset Street, Providence, RI, 02903, for damages to his point of sales
7 equipment on two occasions due to water damage from an improperly repaired roof while
8 providing concessions under contract for the State of Rhode Island at Scarborough State beach,
9 North Pavilion in the town of Narragansett, on or about July 29, 2019, and on or about August 21,
10 2019
11 Senator Alana DiMario
12 The sum of $500.00 to pay the claim of Raymond Cheney of 22 Periwinkle Drive,
13 Saunderstown, RI, 02874, for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by roadway debris while
14 traveling south on route 4 in the town of North Kingstown on or about October 1, 2019.
15 Senator Elaine J. Morgan
16 The sum of $441.96 to pay the claim of Braden Maslyn of 7 Pine Hill Road, Carolina, RI,
17 02812, for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by roadway debris while traveling on
18 Richmond Townhouse Road at or near 61 Richmond Townhouse Road in the town of Richmond
19 on or about August 13, 2019.
20 Senator Thomas J. Paolino
 1 The sum of $2,000.00 to pay the claim of the Reverend Kurt Stack of 147 Railroad Street
2 #3, Manville, RI, 02838, for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by a falling tree limb
3 while parked in the North Beach parking lot at Lincoln Woods State Park in the town of Lincoln
4 on or about June 29, 2020.
5 Senator James A. Seveney
6 The sum of $1,010.60 to pay the claim of Katie Mahoney of 25 Kailin Place, Portsmouth,
7 RI, 02871, for damages to her vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while traveling south on
8 East Main Road at or near Sandy Point Ave in the town of Portsmouth on or about January 23,
9 2018; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders upon the
10 General Treasurer for the payment of said funds.
