AN ACT
RELATED TO MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES -- ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING
STATIONS

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Title 31 of the General Laws entitled "MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES"
2 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following chapter:
3 CHAPTER 3.3
4 ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS
5 31-3.3-1. Accessibility of charging stations for electric vehicles.
6 The department of transportation, along with the division of motor vehicles and the office
7 of energy resources, shall develop, no later than January 1, 2022, a plan for a statewide electric
8 vehicle charging station infrastructure in order to make such electric vehicle charging stations more
9 accessible to the public.
10 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
