7 An Act relating to schools; directing the State Board
7 of Education to provide certain salary bonus to
8 certain school nurse with certain certification;
8 providing for codification; providing an effective
9 date; and declaring an emergency.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
13
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 6-213 of Title 70, unless there
14
15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

16 The State Board of Education shall provide an annual salary
16
17 bonus in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) to a school
17
18 nurse, as defined by Section 1-116 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma
18
19 Statutes, who maintains certification from the National Board for
19
20 Certification of School Nurses and is employed by a school district
20
21 in this state.

22 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.
22
23 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
23
24 of the public peace, health, or safety, an emergency is hereby
24

 1 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and

2 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
