7 An Act relating to absentee ballots; establishing
7 alternative procedures for execution of certain
8 absentee ballot affidavits; repealing Section 2,
8 Chapter 10, O.S.L. 2020 (26 O.S. Supp. 2020, Section
9 14-115.7), which relates to applicable procedure for
9 properly executing an absentee ballot affidavit;
10 providing for codification; and providing an
10 effective date.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

14 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
14
15 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 115.8 of Title 26, unless there
15
16 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

17 1. A voter who requests an absentee ballot pursuant to Section
17
18 14-105 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes may, in lieu of having
18
19 his or her signature notarized by a notary public as required by
19
20 Section 14-108 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes, sign the
20
21 absentee ballot affidavit and attach a photocopy of a form of
21
22 identification described in subsection A of Section 7-114 of Title
22
23 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes; or

 1 2. A voter who requests an absentee ballot described pursuant

2 to Section 14-110.1 or Section 14-114 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma
2
3 Statutes may, in lieu of having his or her signature witnessed by
3
4 two witnesses, sign the absentee ballot affidavit and include a
4
5 photocopy of a form of identification described in subsection A of
5
6 Section 7-114 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

7 SECTION 2. REPEALER Section 2, Chapter 10, O.S.L. 2020
7
8 (26 O.S. Supp. 2020, Section 14-115.7), is hereby repealed.

9 SECTION 3. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
